Internship Program Details
The current internship opportunities offered by the Arizona Asian Chamber are Community Outreach, and Communications & Marketing. While these are the listed internships, additional opportunities such as photography, videography, website design, and other areas may be considered.
The internships are designed to be flexible to accommodate students' schedules and preferences, with each internship lasting six months and requiring 5-10 work hours per week. *Workloads might vary weekly.

Community Outreach Intern
Become familiar with the structure, goals and mission of the Arizona Asian Chamber of Commerce. Be involved in the research, analysis and implementation of various community activities.
Duties may include:
Providing advocacy support and assistance with community events as needed
Participating in public policy and government affairs activities and meetings to see the process in action
Conduct research and analysis in support of the Chamber's communications operations
Assist with the launch of new initiatives, campaigns, and community programs
Assist with community outreach efforts, including coordinating with local businesses, community organizations, and cultural partners
Assisting the Chamber’s work that involves working with business contacts to assist the region in obtaining federal and state support on projects that have a regional impact
Desired skills & Qualifications:
Majoring in Community Development, Political Science, Government Relations, Communications or any related field
Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Workspace and Excel
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously & work independently
Interest in multicultural communications, community engagement, or the nonprofit sector is a plus
Communications & Marketing Intern
Assist with administrative tasks including organizing a database with over 1000+ businesses and community members. Be apart of logistical planning for city projects and local community projects.
Duties may include:
Assist with community outreach efforts, including coordinating with local businesses, community organizations, and cultural partners
Support the development and execution of communications and marketing strategies across digital and print platforms
Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement
Help design and refine operational processes for communications workflows and make recommendations for improvement
Conduct research and analysis in support of the Chamber's communications and marketing operations
Assist with the launch of new initiatives, campaigns, and community programs
Support media relations efforts including drafting press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials
May perform additional projects upon request
Desired skills & Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing tools
Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
Interest in multicultural communications, community engagement, or the nonprofit sector is a plus
